Miss Diva

Having a boy was fun, but having a girl is fun too! Love being able to dress her in cute clothes(so much better than the dolls and barbies I dressed up as a kid.)
I have a little diva on my hands with that look, just love her!

Banana Plop!

When Robert was 6 years old his family took a vacation and drove from Utah to Pennsylvania and back. They were gone for 6 weeks. During that time, many nicknames were created, and some people received more than one. The story of one of Robert's nicknames goes like this. He was riding along in the family van and peeled open a banana for a snack. Shauna, his older sister, decided to try and take a bit out of his banana. Attempting to keep her from biting the banana, Robert hoisted the banana into the air, away from Shauna. When he did so, the banana hit the van ceiling and peeled portion broke off and feel on the floor. Robert didn't realize what had happened until he brought the banana back down and saw half of it missing. With a puzzled look on his face, and still wondering what had happened to the bulk of his banana, he rightfully earned the nickname "Banana Plop."
Well Carson started hoisting his banana into the air for some reason unknown reason the other day, thinking it was pretty funny. So it would seem banana hoisting runs in the family. We have a Banana Plop Jr. in the making!

Happy Birthday 27

Sunday was my 27th birthday, not sure how that happened, but it did. My cousin keeps reminding me that I am close to 30 now crazy to think my 20's are almost already over. It was a very laid back and relaxing day. My parents and little sister Rachel came to spend church with us and brought cake and steak for dinner.

Because I didn't teach Young Women's I was able to got to Relief Society which I have not done in some time. It was a wonderful lesson on how we are all great in the sight of God. To start the lesson, three puzzles were give to sisters to put together.  Though they each varied in font and color, each had the same message : Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. Thought we are all different from each other, we are all the same in that we are beloved daughters(or sons) of our Heavenly Father.  It was a great lesson that reminded me though I maybe imperfect in the world's eye or my own eyes, I am great to my Heavenly Father. We all need to understand our worth and value ourselves so we can help others and remember our divine nature that we are of infinite worth to the Father and His Son. Difference are part of His plan. Remember "We are beloved spirit daughters(sons) of God, and our lives have meaning and purpose, and direction!" (Relief Society Declaration)

After church my Dad cooked Steak(yummy) to go along we had baked potatoes, lime jello, watermelon, salad, and grape juice, it was delicious! Afterwards we celebrated with a cake, though you can't tell from the pictures the candles say "27" we didn't exactly have 27 candles so we had improvise. I also ended up having some help from Carson to blow out the candles, I guess I was just to slow!

After a good visit my family had to leave and I was able to take a short nap without interruptions from either kiddo(great birthday present!) It was a great day, the rest of the week unfortunately has been a week of recovering from the sickness I caught over the weekend from my kiddos( But I can't help but love on them with hugs and kisses!)

My Kiddos

I LOVE my kiddos and that is all I am going to say!!!!

A Tear Shed

On Saturday it was time to start anew and cut Carson's hair and curls. We have let it grow out the entire summer, to begin with because we just didn't know what style to give him, but then we fell in love with his curls, unfortunately his hair was getting to long to make it manageable so we cut it. He has had many hair cuts including his first cut just before his first birthday, but this one was emotional unlike the other cuts. I never knew how much I loved his curls, I know it is a vain thing but just loved them and didn't really want to see them go, but knew it was time for now. By the time we were down with the cut we had quite the pile of curls on the kitchen floor, again tears were shed. My Cute little Carson knew exactly what mom needed, a few great big squeezes! For a time the curls are gone, hopefully to come back again, but for now he is sporting his new short hair. I know one of the reasons I shed more tears than I thought I would was the fact that he is beginning to look more and more like a little boy and not Mommy's little baby boy, I guess I he can't be little forever.

From my lovable, happy go lucky boy curly haired boy!
To my lovable, happy go lucky short hair boy!
Wow, now that is some hair!
Raw emotion, he knew Mommy needed a hug. Such a sweet boy!
We made it through just fine.
