3 years old!

Carson is 3 years old, yes it has for sure gone by quickly! He is strong willed, happy go lucky, sensitive to others, and downright crazy sometimes, but he perfect the way he is.

Carson's 3 year Stats:
Weight: 38.2 lbs (94%)
Height: 40 in (94%)

He is still a train boy and not sure that will ever change, it is fun to start to watch his imagination and how he builds his "long train tracks," he is coming pretty good at it. It is a common accessory in our front room, but I don't mind.
As you can tell he is in his underwear, which means he is potty trained! When he was ready he was ready, he has had very few accidents, usually only during nap time.

His cute little soccer jams, they last a week before he just ripped them off. I know he is a boy, but he kept saying "Do my nails Mom!" How could I say no?
The single most thing we love about Carson is his love for life and the joy he shows he is having.
Happy Birthday our not so little guy!

Sydni 1 year!

A year has come and gone, Say what? I guess I have to start believing soon that our baby girl is growing up, quickly, can't she just slow down a bit?l

Sydni's 12 month Stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 8.5 oz (61%)
Height: 29.5 in (60%)
Head: 45.5 cm (65%)

As you can tell she is pretty much proportionate, average, but small for us and we love it!

At 12 months:
  • At this point Sydni has a wobbly walk that she uses every now and again, but crawling is still her main form of movement, and she is really fast at it too!
  • Sydni has such the brightest smile that almost never not on her face
  • Daddy loves that she will crawl immediate over to him when he comes home from work.
  • She is cute to watch, any time music comes on she starts a groovin, even if the cellphone rings.
  • She loves to play peek-a-boo, it was fun to watch her and her cousin Leah this past week playing together.
  • She loves to waves to everyone she sees, though if you want to hold her that is another story, she is very attached to her mom and dad!
  • She has become the little climber, can climb up the bunk bed(scary!) She climbs where ever and when ever she can
  • She has learned to open the entertainment center and pull out the DVD's, not sure Carson did that as early as she has.
  • She loves her pacifier and I am not sure we are going to give that up anytime soon, at least for our sanity.
  • She has 8 teeth and 1 molar coming in this week, been a rough week.
  • The only word she really says is Mama or Mom, but she is working on Dance.
We didn't actually do anything for her actual birthday except for sing "Happy Birthday" of course, we saved all the cake and presents until Saturday when we had a double birthday party for the kids.

She loves sticking sticks such as this load from Carson's train track in her mouth, and just leaving it there. Here little stogie.
 Smiles constantly!
 Our little drama diva.
 Another Stogie
 Our little monkey
 She loved her balloons
Two of her favorite things, smiling and her binki!

We love you baby girl and can't wait to see what new things you learn as you continue to grow into a beautiful woman.

Birthday Pictures

Once again Fotofly in Draper did a fantastic job capturing the personalities and adorableness of my two babies for their birthday photos.
It was much more difficult to keep two children under control and looking great and very happy how well the pictures turned out!

These two just love each other
These two are my two favorites of the kids together. It was so cute to see their eyes light up when they were facing each other, they started talking, so cute!
Melting a Mama's heart for sure, he did this all on his own.
When I got the picture back and saw his thumbs up, it made me smile, so Carson.
Our Two blue eyed babies, we can't go anywhere without someone commenting on their eyes!

Carson Age 3

Where did the time go? I will probably never get the answer to that age old question, but seriously how is my baby boy 3 already?!!! He has such a love for life, his laugh is so contagious and has been from practically day one. He is so crazy and active, and though it wares us out, I wouldn't want him any other way, love him just the way he is. Everyday I am amazed at his understanding an vocabulary, it is increasing quickly. I have never seen another child so sociable as Carson, he finds friends anywhere he goes and starts up conversations as if he has known them for years. We love ya!

They did such a perfect job capturing his personality and his always laughing smile.
The photographer had him run towards her and give her a high five, he thought that was pretty fun.
So easy to get him to smile/laugh, just play peek-a-boo, and you got it!

Sydni 1

Sydni is one, man does time go even faster with number 2, maybe it is just me, but that is how I feel. Sydni always has a smile on her face, she has a vivacious smile, you can't help but smile when you see her. She is such a happy cuddly little girl, which I can't get enough of, who doesn't love baby cuddles. She is continuing to learn quickly in fact, she can climb on things now. She is such a sweet baby, love you baby!
She started to walk just a bit right before her first birthday, and getting better, though she still prefers to crawl.
This time I was asked if I wanted to bring cake and balloons for pictures, of course I thought that was a fun idea. Little did I know that she was going to love it, they even mentioned they had never seen a little baby go at a cake as much as she did. It was messy cleanup, but so worth it!

Monday Night Train a Little Bit of Crazy!

For Robert, Carson, and Sydni's birthday's we took a train ride once again on the Heber Valley railroad. This time around it was a 90 minute evening train ride around Deer Creek Reservoir. It included sing-a-longs, sit seeing, and lots of laughs and giggles from a little boy who loves trains, priceless!

I am pretty sure Carson road the entire time looking out the window, it doesn't seem to mater how many times we take this route he acts as if it is his first time, love it!
Once again Carson found a little boy Ashton and became instant friends, oh how sociable he is.
When we got back from out trip we took a few minutes to walk around the train yard, and climb on some old train cars, he was in Heaven as you can tell!
What a fun Birthday/FHE activity with the family!

Laundry Bandit

In April Cathy, Lisa, and I got together and made our own laundry soap. Cathy and Lisa both just made one batch, but we decided if we were going to do it we were going to fill a 6 gallon bucket and that is just what we did :)

As the different batches got put in the bucket it got harder and harder for me to mix it thoroughly, so when Robert got home I put his muscles to work.

So we ended up with the laundry bandit ;)
