On the 7th Day of Christmas

On the 7th day of Christmas we opened our eyes to see?
Toby our little Santa elf sitting in a tree, not sure how that happened, but be Christmas magic.
For those of you who are not familiar with the elf on the shelf elf, let me explain. The the Elf on the shelf is a special scout elf sent from the North Pole to help Santa Claus manage his naughty and nice lists. When a family adopts an elf and gives it a name, the elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa Claus about all of the day's adventures. Each morning, the elf returns to its family and perches in a different place to watch the fun. There are two simple rules that every child knows when it comes to having an elf. First, an elf cannot be touched; Christmas magic is very fragile and if an elf is touched it may lose that magic and be unable to fly back to the North Pole. Second, an elf cannot speak or move while anyone in the house is awake.

Carson after finding Toby the elf.
Though Carson is small we decided to start this cute tradition for our family, we have adopted out little Toby and this morning he was found perched on our Christmas tree, silly little elf. I am sure as we have him look every day for our little elf, he will soon on his own go looking for the sneaky hiding elf, I look forward to his smiles and he seeks to find him. Over time it will develop into that he will be watching them and reporting to Santa if they have been naughty or nice and hopefully help us in the end be more loving and kind to one another as we should be centered of our Savior's example of love and kindness to all.

I wonder where he will return to after he reports to the North Pole tonight.
Today we went back to the basic and good old fun with bubble wrap that came in our present yesterday from Great Grandma. Carson thought it was fun to jump on the bubble wrap and hear it pop, and not loved that we could get action shots without faces being blurry.

Now that is some serious air.
 And again.
Such a concentrated look of determination.
Carson was not done having Dad take his picture, so I told him he could take pictures with his fingers. Did a pretty good job I think acting out taking a picture.
We also had unexpected visitor this afternoon Cathy and Matt came over to give us our Christmas present, and this is what they brought a shadow nativity, crafted by Cathy herself. This is what the season is all about giving and remember our Saviors birth and his example to love one another.  Love this nativity, one of these days if we have enough money and space to store I would love to be able to get a new nativity to display each year so the kids know that we love the Savior and are trying to make our home a Christ centered home throughout the year not just at Christmas time.
To top the evening off we attended out ward Christmas party and shared some yummy food and wonderful company of friends.
I do know that the child born to Mary in Bethlehem was our Savior Jesus Christ and through him we can be perfect and one day live together with our Heavenly Father.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
